Mayday Trust is a leading charity specialising in working with individuals as they go through their challenging life transitions. We deliver bespoke evidence based interventions to ensure that people coming to Mayday reach their full potential.

About the opportunity
You will be working as part of a team, working closely with the Personal Asset Team and Housing team to ensure that the day to day running of volunteering programs in the local area. You will liaise with the team members to find out what they need, working closely with volunteers to ensure they gain the best experience possible at Mayday Trust.

What will I be doing?
• Helping to advertise volunteer roles across a variety of platforms
• Responding to incoming volunteer enquiries and applications
• Inputting and editing data on our databases
• Booking volunteers on to inductions and organising training for volunteers
• Representing Mayday Trust in a courteous and professional manner at all times
• Helping to organise volunteer recognition events

We need you to be:
• Confident on the phone with a friendly manner
• Understanding of the needs of volunteers
• Computer literate – able to use excel, word, outlook and the internet
• Able to use your initiative
• Able to follow our systems and procedures
• Flexible – there may be times when we ask you to help on other projects/tasks

• Support and supervision from the innovation & Learning Coordinator
• An induction and training for the role
• Reasonable travel expenses
• A work reference for those who have satisfactorily committed to at least 3 months
