What Mayday Is To Me
"Mayday Trust is a fantastic organisation helping those whose lives have resulted in homlessness and also for those who need an in-between station from complete independence. The staff are helpful, caring and encouraging and provide a wonderful service. Thank you very much."

“For the first time in my life I feel safe and secure. I'm free of drugs and I'm now looking for a job.”
“Having lived on the Leighton Buzzard scheme for three or so months I have found the quality and level of available support and staff to be professional, courteous and comprehensive in all its approaches. “
“I’ve been here for nearly two years. I really enjoy it here. We are so near the town and my opticians and chiropodist are just round the corner. The flats we have are very nice indeed and the staff are a great help to us when we need them.”
“Mayday Trust was there when I needed them most. And the great thing is they continue to be there for me.”
“I've met a lot of new people. I made friends, which I've still got. I'm now living in a flat and doing a computer course at college.”
Scheme Activities
“I have joined an art group where I have made more friends and nice pieces of artwork.”
“I do lots of things with Mayday. Last year I went on a train trip to Edinburgh and had sandwiches. In art classes I made a bird and I went bowling in Northampton.”
“Since I moved to Mayday I have made lots of friends and enjoy doing more things like pottery and art. I also help keep the garden nice where I live.”

Life Skills Training
“I have been living with Mayday Trust for 6 years. In those six years I have made lots of friends and learnt how to cook and eat properly.”
“The staff are friendly and very supportive and are here to help you when you need a chat and helpful in getting you to move into your own home. They help you to learn to cook and are helpful when you need forms to fill out. They will help so all in all they are a good bunch of staff.”
“I had a stroke and lost my confidence. Since I have been here I have got some of my confidence back and now I can do things for myself. The staff have helped me to sort out my debts and now I do not have to worry about having bills I cannot pay. I can now plan and cook meals for myself and this makes me happy.”
“Staff help me with some cooking and sometimes shopping.”
